Silver Mink Tours – Our Terms and Conditions (scroll to bottom of page for accessibility information)

Bookings for services with Silver Mink Tours are formed between customers and Pilkinton Productions and Promotions (registered Australian business ABN 44 597 319 441).

Booking payments
The cost listed against each tour, event or service is payable in full, when booking.
If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us directly.

Included Services
All service costs include up to four passengers, however we advise that up to three is the most comfortable way to travel. 
Seatbelts for four passengers are available.   You are required by Victorian law to wear your seatbelt at all times.
We can supply a forward facing 6mth - 8 year baby seat.  Enquiries can be made through our booking form or email address. 

In addition to the general tour cost (car and driver), a few extras are also included.  You will see an asterisk* alongside those items in each tour description. 

All other purchases you may wish to make at destinations are not included in the tour price.
Within the limits of the car boot, we will transport any of your purchases back to your drop-off point.
All baggage and purchases must travel in the boot – no loose items are permitted in the cabin except normal personal belongings at our discretion. 

Insurance
Insurance for our 1974 Silver Shadow Rolls Royce is through Enthusiast Insurance and is specifically tailored for commercial hire use.   
Insurance for personal injury of all passengers within vehicles is provided by TAC via the vehicle registration. 

It is recommended that international travellers confirm details of insurance cover with their policy provider to ensure adequate protection in the event of an accident and need of medical attention or protection to property.

The car and drivers are included on the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Victoria Register.

Cancellation - Customer

More than 72 hours before
Written cancellations received more than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time will incur a 30% fee, or we will work with you/your group to transfer your payment to another tour date.

Less than 72 hours before
Written cancellations
received less than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time will incur a 50% fee, or we will work with you/your group to transfer your payment to another tour date.

On the day
Please understand that we are unable to refund your payment if you cancel on the day of the tour.

Cancellation - Service Provider
A full refund of customer payments as a result of Silver Mink Tours cancelling the tour, will be made immediately upon notice.
At your preference, the booking can be re-arranged for another time.

Cancellation -  Force Majeure / Adverse weather
In the event of very hot, very rainy or potentially damaging weather conditions, both parties are likely to agree to postponement or cancellation of the hire.
In the following events the service will be re-scheduled if possible or cancelled with a full refund:
-        A Fire Danger Rating of Extreme or Catastrophic in the intended tour route.
-        Forecast damaging hail
-        Forecast flooding rain affecting roads and destinations
-        Force Majeure
Silver Mink Tours will not be liable for compensation other than that of the booking fee. 

Cancellation - Behaviour
Silver Mink Tours reserves the right to cancel your hire (without a refund) if you:
-       Behave abusively or aggressively towards our staff or staff at our destinations
-       Don’t show up within 15 minutes of our scheduled departure
-       Behave in such a way that may damage the vehicle or put others at risk

Mechanical
We take every effort to keep our almost 50 year old car in a well maintained condition.
It is considered a rare original survivor car requiring only ongoing servicing.
-        The car has heating and air-conditioning.
-        The car deliberately retains its functioning original sound system (am radio and 8-track cassette). Customers’ preferred music can be played from their phones via an on-board bluetooth speaker.

We will not be held responsible for failing to provide the booked service due to circumstances beyond our control, such as road works, adverse weather, client delays, animal impact, mechanical breakdown or accident. Silver Mink Tours will not be liable for compensation other than that of the booking fee.  In such events, refund of hire payments will be made to the customer on a pro rata basis of time used/lost.

Damage to our car caused by passengers, will incur a minimum fee of $450 payable on the day of hire. This includes upholstery damage or soiling, panel, paint and or equipment damage. The hirer is fully responsible and liable for any damage to the vehicle by the hiring group during the hire period. Any repair or reasonable consequential loss of business cost exceeding the minimum fee will be invoiced to the customer and deducted from the provided credit card.

While enjoying a wedding celebratory sparkling wine inside our Rolls Royce can be “rather fitting”, the same can not be said for red wine…. or food.   Please don’t bring them inside the car.

We want to understand and accommodate your unique needs.  Please feel free to email or phone us to discuss these before you book.  You can also advise on the booking form.  Our car boot is large enough to accommodate portable/folding mobility aids.  We have an Access for All consultant on our team and all tour destinations have been assessed for access as noted.
